| Audio Transcription |
![]() All the facilities of our transcription service are available to produce a transcript quickly and accurately from live-audio recordings on a same day basis. This can be considered as a cheaper alternative to realtime. This production process remains the same as realtime, in that multiple transcribers can be used on the audio, and the same thorough process of proofing is also employed. The transcript can be delivered in text format with or without the audio synchronised. The functionalities of our Briefcase document management and search analysis software are also available. Tape transcription can therefore be a cheaper option, yet it still retains all the features of realtime, aside from the instant availability of the live raw text. Pre-recorded audio can be synchronised with the text. It has the same production processes and can be used with the Briefcase software. Please contact us for more details of the software and how it can benefit you in preparing or organising court cases, meetings or conferences. Evidence increasingly includes recordings of telephone conversations, in civil proceedings as well as criminal. Many organisations record telephone calls openly as a matter of course. The definition of a “document” in Rule 31.6 CPR is “anything in which information of any description is recorded” and that applies equally to audio as to text or other, more conventional, documents. Because we keep the original audio in sync with the transcription, one can follow the text and sound simultaneously and flag and annotate the transcription in BriefCase as with other document.
