![]() In 2005, The Disability Discrimination Act was updated, building on and extending the earlier disability discrimination legislation. It is intended to highlight the responsibilities businesses have towards providing better facilities for those who are deaf, or hard of hearing or those who could use other considerations. The software allows the spoken word to be produced on screen so that the hearing-impaired can follow what is being said. This service requires the use of a stenographer or palantypist, supplied by the company. When our writer or writers arrive at the venue, they can either connect their CAT software to a large screen for display to a wide audience or they can sit beside a hearing impaired client with their laptop set to presentation view. A transcript of the event can be provided either edited or unedited.
